Jharkhand Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (JIIDCO), a prime engineering and consultancy company, is a wholly owned by Government of Jharkhand Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of the Department of Industries. JIIDCO Consultancies provide services such as: organizational change management assistance, development of coaching skills, process analysis, technology implementation, strategy development, or operational improvement services. The role of a strategic consultant mainly involves providing advice to upper-level executives and managers on matters related to the formation of effective plans and strategies that can help a business follow a more productive direction. This consulting approach may start with identifying the problems a business faces and providing effective solutions through research and analyses. JIIDCO is also act as implementing agency of Single Window (Department of Industry).

Ease of Doing Business

Jharkhand Industries Facilitation and Single Window Clearance Bill focusses to create an investor friendly environment and improve ease of doing business in the State. This is being facilitated by providing accelerated and time bound grant of various licenses, permissions & approvals, promoting industrial development and facilitating new investments as well as by simplifying the regulatory framework by reducing procedural requirements and rationalizing documents.

It is a landmark bill for the investors as it includes provisions such as Deemed Approval, Self-certification, Third party inspections and Appeals among others.

All proposed or existing investments which need clearance under one or more of the applicable acts are eligible for facilitation through single window clearance web-portal (https://advantage.jharkhand.gov.in).

 

The portal is a one-stop service for investors planning to invest in Jharkhand from within the state as well as other parts of the country and abroad. The main activities of this portal include:

  • Providing information on approvals required for starting and operating a business, procedures, application forms and its timelines as well as connecting the investors to respective departments from which approval is to be sought
  • Making online application for the listed approvals through single sign-on/ common login for availing services of Department of Industries, Commercial Tax Department, Pollution Control Board and Labour Department. Other departments to also be integrated soon.
  • Follow up action and coordination between the Government departments and investors
  • Facilitation & Coordination for implementing Project in Jharkhand
Introduction of ‘Single Sign-on’ by Jharkhand Government has benefitted the user in multiple ways:
  • Allows user to access listed services of the aforementioned departments without signing into the respective department portal (seamless integration)
  • Auto populates data from Single Window Portal on respective department portal
  • Eliminates the need to create and remember separate login credentials at various department portals
  • Reduces time spent re-entering passwords for the same identity
